Nine female entrepreneurs joined forces for the first annual Columbus Makers Shopping Event and it was a huge success! Each artisan sold out or came close to it and we are already planning next year and ways to improve. If you are a local artisan in the Columbus, GA area, please comment on this post if you are interested in joining us!

Mary Frances Flowers and Evelyn Henson were the two main artisans who got the idea going. WRBL stopped by to feature the event and highlighted Mary Frances but I have to say, I was pleased a close up of my skyline t-shirts made the cut!

I designed the below email and sent the morning of as a last minute reminder for the all day event. All the other artisans were wonderful about posting on their individual social media accounts throughout the day as well. Our combined efforts brought in multiple shopper personas and the event was a HUGE hit.

A very grateful and special thanks to Ken Henson and Jack Jenkins for allowing us to use their lovely office downtown for not only the day of but the day before and after for setup/breakdown.
